Arsenal defender calls for response
Kolo Toure is confident that Arsenal can respond in the right manner to their demoralising UEFA Champions League exit.
The Gunners will end a fourth straight season without silverware after being convincingly beaten by Manchester United in the second leg of their European semi-final on Wednesday.
However, Toure expects Arsene Wenger's young squad to learn from the experience and come back stronger next season.
Arsenal are set to finish fourth in the Premier League and Toure does not believe they have much ground to make up on the leading trio.
"We are not far behind those teams," declared the Ivory Coast defender.
"Nobody was expecting a lot for us this season and we showed great spirit and we are really proud of what we have done.
"At the moment we just need to concentrate and try to be on top when we play those good teams.
"We want to win and we will try to come back and be strong."
Fantastic
Toure feels it is imperative for Wenger to keep his squad together and possibly bring in one or two reinforcements during the summer.
"The only thing we can do at the minute is to just keep players, and if we can bring some more that would be fantastic," he said.
"The spirit is good and we hope we are going to stick together and fight together again next season.
"When you win trophies it becomes like a habit for you," he said.
"This time we did not win anything, but when we get the first trophy, you will see more from Arsenal."
