Charged five request personal hearings
The five players charged with breaching Football Association rules on betting in football have all denied the allegations and requested personal hearings.
Peter Cavanagh, Robbie Williams, Andrew Mangan, David Mannix and Jay Harris were all charged by the FA for breaching betting rules after allegedly betting on Bury to beat Accrington on the final game of the 2007/08 season in League Two.
Four of those charged - Cavanagh, Williams, Mannix and Harris - were registered with Accrington at the time of the game while Mangan was registered with Bury.
Harris and Cavanagh also featured in the match which Accrington lost 2-0.
A statement from the FA said: "The charges will be now heard by an independent regulatory commission which will be scheduled in due course."
