Teenage defender David Haggerty has signed a new one-year contract extension with Rotherham.
The 18-year-old has made only one first-team appearance for the Millers, on the final day of the 2008/09 campaign against Barnet, and spent part of last season on loan at Ilkeston Town.
However, the club believe he has the potential to play a prominent role in the future and are delighted to have extended his stay.
"The club has an excellent record of producing home-grown talent with the likes of Ryan Taylor, Stephen Brogan and Jamie Green all becoming first-team regulars and we have similar hopes for David," said Rotherham's chief operating officer Paul Douglas.
"He has a lot of hard work ahead of him, but he has the potential to become a very good player for this football club."
