Striker Michael Mackay has signed a new contract with League One outfit Hartlepool.
The 26-year-old's current deal was due to expire in the summer but he has now put pen-to-paper on fresh terms.
Mackay joined Pools from non-league Consett in 2007 and is delighted to have extended his stay at Victoria Park.
"I'm very happy here at Hartlepool and I'm delighted to sign a new contract," he told the club's
official website.
"It's a lot different to playing in League football from where I came from but I do feel as if I'm getting used to the way of things and can go on from here.
"I know I need to get better and there are things I need to improve on if I am to become a regular in the first-team but I'm determined to work hard to achieve that."
