Dutch defender in no-show for contract talks
Oldham will not offer a new deal to Stefan Stam after the defender failed to turn up for contract talks.
The 29-year-old was due to meet with new Latics manager Dave Penney on Thursday morning but the Dutchman, who is believed to be in Amsterdam, failed to arrive.
Following further discussion with Stam's agent, Penney then made the decision not to offer a new deal to the player.
Stam, who has made 102 appearances for the club, is the latest in a long line of players to be let go by Penney. He joins the likes of Sean Gregan, Kevin Maher and JP Kalala, who have all recently been released.
