Promotion was for the Adams Park faithful
Wycombe Wanderers manager Peter Taylor has dedicated his side's promotion to League One to the club's fans.
The former England Under 21 boss has experienced five promotions during his time as a manager and he told
skysports.com that the supporters are the ones who make all the hard work worth while.
"Thankfully I've tasted promotion on five occasions during my career to date, but you can't compare them with one another," Taylor told
skysports.com.
"Every time you join a football club you want to improve it to the best of your ability and getting the team into League One has made it a great first season since I've been at the club.
"It's always a great feeling when you clinch promotion and you get to see all the supporters, which have paid good money throughout the year, delighted to go up. It makes it all worth while really because that is what football is all about, the fans."
Transfer talk
Speculation continues to mount over potential recruits to Taylor's side as the Chairboys prepare for life in League One, but he insisted he is not looking to bring in loan signings over the summer, unless they will be at Adams Park for the entire season.
"It's too early to talk about potential loan signings, but ideally I would like to have only players on permanent deals at the start of the season.
"However, if clubs want their players to go out on loan for 12-months then that is a different story and would be something we would be interested in."
