Alberto Gilardino would welcome the arrival of Inter Milan striker Hernan Crespo at Fiorentina.
Reports emanating from Italy have suggested Crespo, who is out of favour at Inter, will sign a two-year deal with the Viola in the summer.
Although neither club have yet to comment on the speculation, striker Gilardino believes experienced Argentine Crespo would be an excellent addition at Stadio Artemio Franchi.
"Champions like Hernan Crespo are always welcomed," Gilardino told Italian press.
"I know him in a really good way; he's a great player and a really good person."
