Grayson keen to run the rule over duo
Leeds United manager Simon Grayson has offered Jonathan Webb and Josh Falkingham six-month deals while releasing six other youngsters.
Webb signed a one-year contract under Gary McAllister last year and made his debut in Leeds' FA Cup success over Northampton before joining Newcastle Blue Star on loan.
Falkingham, who has impressed in Leeds' Under-18s and reserve side, was also handed a squad number, but is yet to make a senior first-team appearance.
It is hoped by handing the pair six-month deals Grayson will be able to review their progress over pre-season before making a decision on their long-term futures.
Meanwhile, Leeds have opted against retaining six youngsters after Nathan Cartman, Chris Ovington, Ross Wilkinson, Matt Edwards, Lee Booth and Sam Jerome were all released by the Elland Road outfit.
