Gus' word of warning

St Mirren boss Gus MacPherson has warned his squad that they are not safe from the drop yet.

Buddies boss still wary of the drop

St Mirren boss Gus MacPherson has warned his squad that they are not safe from the drop yet. The Buddies moved themselves off the foot of the table last weekend with a crucial 2-0 away win over Falkirk. The victory sees St Mirren ahead of Inverness on goal difference and two points clear of rock-bottom Falkirk. A point against Hamilton will be enough to secure their SPL status with Inverness hosting Falkirk this weekend and MacPherson has warned his charges not to leave anything to chance.

Still involved

"We're not out of it yet, far from it," explained MacPherson. "We're still involved in the relegation battle and we all know what could happen. "Nothing has been decided at this moment so our approach has got to be exactly the same. "We got the result we required against Falkirk. It was a huge result and we have got to be positive when we face Hamilton as we were in that game. "It's great it's in our own hands. Even on Saturday it was still in our hands, but we had to win. "Now we'll treat the Hamilton game in exactly the same manner."
