Wallace pens three-year Tynecastle contract
Ryan Wallace has become the latest Hearts youngster to put his name on a new long-term contract.
The Under 19 forward has penned a three-year deal at Tynecastle, joining the likes of Johnny Stewart, Rocky Visconte, Craig Thomson, Matthew Park and Mark Ridgers in committing his future to the club.
Youth coach Darren Murray is pleased with the 18-year-old's progress to date and believes his long-term contract now provides the opportunity to break into Hearts' first-team.
"Ryan Wallace is striker or wide player and in the last six months he has really kicked on with the reserves," Murray told the club's
official website.
Development
"We've seen a real development in his game. He's now got some time to prove himself."
Murray is also keeping a close eye on defensive midfielder Stewart, another starlet he tips for the top.
"Jonathan Stewart has this year played two games a week, and we've seen that cause some problems in him developing his upper body strength," he continued. "But he's one of the best defensive midfield players we've got.
"Next year he'll focus on the reserves and that one game a week is important because two games can catch up with you at that age. Hopefully he can develop in to a top player."
