Portuguese coach pledges future to Italian champions
Inter Milan manager Jose Mourinho has extended his contract at the Giuseppe Meazza until June 2012.
The former Chelsea boss, who took over last summer and recently won the Serie A title in his first season, had been linked with a possible move to Real Madrid.
And, earlier on Monday, Mourinho said there was a
'0.01 per cent' chance he could leave the Italian giants after only 12 months.
But the club have now confirmed that the Portuguese coach has agreed to stay for another three years.
A statement on Inter's
official website read: "In response to the wish of the coach to continue the project started together a year ago, a wish welcomed with pleasure by the club as a sign of attachment and winning spirit, FC Internazionale announces the extension of Jose Mourinho's contract until 30th June 2012."
