Midfielder moves on after one season at Adams Park
Nathan Ashton has left Wycombe after having his contract terminated by mutual consent.
The versatile 22-year-old, who can play in midfield or defence, moved to Adams Park from Fulham in July 2008.
He went on to make 13 appearances for the club as Peter Taylor's men earned promotion from League Two.
However, the decision has now been made for Ashton to depart Wycombe in search of more regular action.
"Nathan and myself both agreed that he should look elsewhere to get more football, I respect his decision and it's a very professional one," Taylor told the club's
official website.
Taylor also expressed his delight at securing youngsters George Daly and Dan Fitchett to professional contracts earlier in the week.
He added: "Both Dan and George have good ability and it's the start of their professional careers.
"I'm expecting them to work even harder now and try and push towards the first team."
