Czech star quitting Italians after eight years
Pavel Nedved has confirmed he will leave Juventus after this weekend's final round of Serie A games.
The 36-year-old has decided to quit the Turin club after Sunday's game against former club Lazio.
Nedved's future at Juve has been the subject of speculation for some time and the Czech schemer has admitted he will leave the Bianconeri this summer.
Goodbye
"After eight seasons with Juve it's arrived the time to say goodbye to all supporters, the team-mates and the club and to thank them for the support received in these years," said Nedved.
"In Turin I won four Scudetto's (two of which were removed over match-fixing allegations) and a Golden Ball [Ballon d'Or].
"I'll continue feeling myself bounded to Juventus and I'm particularly grateful to family Agnelli to have given me the opportunity to play in this big team."
Wanted
Nedved's agent Mino Raiola claimed it was not certain that the gifted playmaker would walk away from the game altogether, as he suggested earlier in the season.
"Pavel has decided to leave Juve but he has not yet decided whether he will stop playing football," Raiola told
La Gazzetta dello Sport's website.
"Lots of teams want him and I won't give up until I see his boots hung up on September 1."
