England boss tells players to learn from Terry
Fabio Capello believes his Manchester United players can follow John Terry's example and return stronger from UEFA Champions League disappointment.
Terry missed a penalty as Chelsea lost to United in the final of last season's competition, but he bounced back by scoring for England in his next game.
Capello hopes the same can happen with the likes of Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney following United's defeat to Barcelona in midweek.
England face Kazakhstan next Saturday and then Andorra four days later, and Capello is confident these players will regain their focus just as Terry did 12 months ago.
"I hope we will have this reaction," Capello said. "Terry is one fighter. He played very well the game after the final and missing the penalty.
"I hope for the same reaction from the other players. It's very, very important. It's normal in a career of one player to lose and to win. For me, I forgot every time when I lost."
Pressure
Capello thinks United may have been affected by the weight of expectation as they went down 2-0 to Barca in Rome.
"The pressure. You have to win. I know this very well," he said.
"When you have to win sometimes the pressure is too big and when you go to the pitch it's not the same. United played for 10 minutes like United but not after.
"These are very important players. Yes, if you win you are happy and it's easier for me. But I don't think we'll have a problem.
"After, you have to look to the future, look forward. You have to forget what happened."
Lesson
The performances of Xavi and Andres Iniesta for Barca underlined Spain's position as one of the favourites for next year's World Cup, but Capello was encouraged by how close Chelsea came to knocking out the Catalan side in the Champions League semi-finals.
He explained: "I watched three games and I learned a lesson - (Guus) Hiddink and (Pep) Guardiola. When Barcelona played here they didn't play.
"Chelsea played better. It's possible. If you want to understand you have to see the different keys of the games.
"For me it was very, very interesting, very important for the future."
