Defender agrees one-year contract

Cheltenham defender Shane Duff has agreed a new one-year contract with the club. Duff missed a large chunk of the 2008/09 campaign through injury and could not help the Robins avoid relegation from League One. His contract expired at the end of the season but he was offered a new deal by manager Martin Allen. The 27-year-old has now accepted terms and will remain at Whaddon Road until the summer of 2010. "I am delighted that Shane has agreed to stay with us," Allen told the club's official website. "He was superb towards the end of last season and he is an important member of the team."
