Youngster expected to cut short loan spell
On-loan midfielder Aaron Niguez could be cutting short his Rangers spell to return to Valencia.
The 20-year-old has not had the impact at Ibrox he expected, making just one start and three substitute appearances since joining in August.
Valencia sporting director Fernando Gomez admits he had hoped Niguez would gain more match experience during his loan spell in Scotland.
However, with the young winger failing to break through under Walter Smith, a return to Spain looks imminent.
"We would have liked Niguez to play more matches in Scotland but, overall, we are pleased with his progression.
"It's been a beneficial experience for him playing in the Scottish Premier League. However, it's now time for him to come back."
