Brazil ace looking to make history at Santiago Bernabeu

Kaka believes moving to Liga giants Real Madrid will help prolong his ability to play consistently at the highest level. The Brazil international has smashed the world record transfer fee on Monday after completing his €68million (£59million) from AC Milan to the Santiago Bernabeu. Kaka took advice from a number of team-mates before finalising the switch, including former Real winger David Beckham who only had good things to say about the famous club The 27-year-old, who has penned a six-year contract with Real, is not ruling out extending his deal in future and seeing out his career with the Spanish giants.

Talks

"I talked not only with my national team-mates but with many others that have played with Real Madrid," he told Sky Sports News. "Recently I had David Beckham as a team-mate, who had played at Real Madrid, and he told me that it's a fantastic club, a very good place to play and a great experience. "For me it's an interesting project. It's a motivation. I'm 27-year-old and it would be an important push for me to continue maintaining my career at a high level. "I hope I can build a solid career at Real Madrid and make history there with great achievements. And who knows, renew my contract when I'm 33 for two more years. Then I could say I could end my career there. "The global recession has affected clubs like AC Milan. So when I understood this I was told that possibly the best way I could help the club was by accepting the transfer."
