Barca president questions Los Blancos counterpart

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has hit out the 'exorbitant' transfer fee paid by bitter rivals Real Madrid for Kaka. Brazilian playmaker Kaka completed a reported €68million (£59m) switch from AC Milan to Primera Division giants Real earlier this week. Rumours also continue to suggest Real president Florentino Perez will spend further, with Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo a long-term target. And Laporta has questioned his Los Blancos counterpart, stating that he is 'distorting' the transfer market. "It's an opportunity to try to show that the market is at different levels," he said. "To pay these quantities is exorbitant. "It doesn't fit in with the reality of the market and it's too risky. It's distorting it." Barca have been linked to big-money deals of their own but their president claims he will not be following their foes' example. He added: "We only have to make touch-ups. I'm trebly calm."
