Serie A outfit sign Argentinean hot-shot on a four-year-deal

Udinese have signed Argentinean hot-shot Leandro Caruso on a four-year-deal. The 28-year-old striker has sealed a transfer worth about $4 million (£2.49m) after a string of good performances for Godoy Cruz in the Argentinean Torneo Clausura. He will join Pasquale Marino's side for next season once he finishes playing in the Argentinean competition. Udinese beat off competition from Chievo to seal the striker's signature, with the transfer going through quickly as Caruso holds an EU passport. He said: "The truth is that everything happened very fast and everything is ok. I had the medical exams, my agent was with me, he had a look at the contract and thankfully there wasn't any problem. "Now I have the chance to finish off playing in the Torneo Clausura with Godoy Cruz and after that I will travel to Italy to join my new team."
