Tigers midfielder continues on road to recovery

Hull City boss Phil Brown is happy with record signing Jimmy Bullard's progress as he battles his way back to full fitness. The former Fulham midfielder managed just 37 minutes of action for the Tigers before suffering the second serious knee injury of his career. Bullard underwent a further bout of surgery at the hands of renowned specialist Dr Richard Steadman before starting on the road to recovery. Although the £5million January signing is not expected to be fit for the start of the new season, he is tipped to return sooner than expected. The all-action midfielder will join his team-mates on next month's pre-season training camp in Italy to continue his rehabilitation. And Brown told reporters: "From what I've seen he's definitely ahead of schedule. "I wouldn't like to put a timescale on the injury but everything is going well."
