Hosts look to secure berth in last four
Sweden Under 21s have the chance to book their place in the last four of the European Under 21 Championship when they tackle Italy U21s.
Jorgen Lennartsson's host side crushed Belarus 5-1 in their opening Group A match and will secure their place in the last four with all three points against the Azzurrini.
Italy, meanwhile, could only manage a 0-0 draw against Serbia in their opening fixture and have work to do to ensure they do not exit the tournament at the group phase.
Lennartsson has no new injury problems to contend with and is likely to stick with the starting XI on duty for their opening triumph.
Striker Marcus Berg hit the headlines as he grabbed a hat-trick against Belarus and much of the attention before the game is focused on the FC Groningen ace and Italy's own star striker Mario Balotelli.
Great strikers
Lennartsson told
uefa.com: "They are two great strikers, but I think Balotelli has a more individual style, while Berg plays more for the team so I think he fits better in our side."
Opposite number Pierluigi Casiraghi is confident captain Marco Motta and midfielder Claudio Marchisio will recover from knocks in time for the game.
That would give the Italy boss a full squad from which to select his starting XI, and he plans to continue with his attacking policy, despite drawing a blank in their opener.
"I've seen the other games in the tournament and the other teams play with one or two forwards," he said.
"We're playing with three so we have to keep an eye on defence as well. I was very pleased with the way our attackers helped the defence against Serbia. I hope to see the same attitude again because this game will decide our future in the tournament."
