League One side reject signing reports in France
Leeds United have categorically denied that they have signed Guillaume Boronad, contrary to reports in France.
Rumours began to surface across the channel that the out-of-contract Cannes midfielder has agreed to join the League One side this summer.
This promptly caused United fans to pick up on the story and inundate message boards to see if the club had actually signed the mystery Frenchman.
However the club have denied that the 30-year-old will be moving to Elland Road after they declared that they had never even heard of the player.
"Leeds United can confirm that, despite reports in France and claims suggesting otherwise, the club has not signed French player Guillaume Boronad," the club stated on their
official website.
"The club has not had any contact with the player, is unaware of who the player is, and we can categorically confirm that he has not been offered, or signed, a contract with Leeds United."
