Murry Group purchases Bournemouth's major shareholding
Bournemouth have new owners after the Murry Group reached an agreement and purchased the major shareholding in the club.
Adam Murry will be taking the club forward along with Eddie Mitchell, Jeff Mostyn and Steve Sly, with Neill Blake taking an active role in the running of the club.
Murry insists the hard work starts now following the completion of the deal and that he hopes to start a new positive chapter in the club's history following a number of turbulent seasons.
"We are delighted that the deal to take over at AFC Bournemouth has finally come to fruition," he told the club's
official website.
Many challenges
"There are many challenges now that lie ahead, challenges we are ready for to take this club forward and the hard work starts now.
"It will not be easy. This club has had a traumatic couple of years and it is our task to put it back on an even keel.
"We crave success on the field and we know we can count on your support which throughout everything has been superb.
"Off the field, many urgent issues need to be addressed and lots of questions need answering and we will endeavour to do this.
"AFC Bournemouth is major part of the community and we will be launching a number of schemes to reflect this.
"There has been ill feeling around the club, and this now needs to be consigned to the history books and together, we work as one and be positive, with the aim to make AFC Bournemouth a shining light in the town."
