Kaka says there will be 'no rivalry' with Cristiano Ronaldo after he was presented as a Real Madrid player.
Brazilian eager to write his name into Real's history
Kaka insists there will be 'no rivalry' with Cristiano Ronaldo after the Brazilian was presented as a Real Madrid player.
Real have spent a reported £56million to sign the playmaker from AC Milan and he was paraded in front of a 50,000 strong crowd at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday evening.
He was returning president Florentino Perez's first signing and will be followed to the Spanish capital by Ronaldo, whose £80million switch from Manchester United will eclipse the world record fee briefly held by Kaka.
And, rather than worrying about competing for the limelight with Ronaldo, Kaka is looking forward to playing alongside the Portuguese winger.
Privilege
"There will be no rivalry with Cristiano," said Kaka at his presentation. "We are compatible and there will be no problem between us either on or off the pitch.
"It's a great privilege to be able to play with great players, not only with Cristiano Ronaldo, but also with Raul, (Iker) Casillas and Guti."
Kaka has agreed a six-year contract with Real and is determined to follow in the footsteps of the club's legendary stars.
He added: "Today is a very, very special day for me. I am very happy with this new stage in my footballing career.
"What I wish for is to sign my name across the history of this club, this club that has conquered and won so much."
