Scotland international signs new four-year contract in South Wales
Cardiff City striker Ross McCormack has signed a new four-year contract with the Championship club.
McCormack has made a huge impression in South Wales since joining the Bluebirds from Motherwell last summer.
He scored 23 goals during his debut season and had been linked with a move to Premier League new boys Birmingham City.
The Scotland international also recently told
Sky Sports News that he would be keen to play in the top flight if Cardiff received a suitable offer.
However, after several weeks of discussing a new deal, McCormack has committed his future to the Bluebirds until 2013.
"I'm really pleased to have sorted things out," McCormack told the club's
official website.
"I enjoyed last season and, like the other lads, want the opportunity to go that step further this year."
Meanwhile, reports suggest Cardiff are closing in on the £1million signing of Charlton Athletic defender Mark Hudson.
