Abbott waiting to discover striker's demands
Carlisle United boss Greg Abbott has revealed Michael Bridges has turned down the club's contract offer.
Bridges spent last season on loan at Brunton Park and is now available on a free transfer after being released by Hull City.
Abbott is keen to bring Bridges back to Carlisle and is waiting to hear the former Leeds United striker's demands after an initial offer was rejected.
"Michael's agent has been in touch with the club to say the offer we gave him was not acceptable," said Abbott in
the Journal.
"We have told his agent to put something on the table they think is acceptable, and we would discuss it at board level.
"But, at the minute, his agent has declined that."
League Two side Darlington have also expressed an interest in signing Bridges, who scored seven goals in 30 league appearances for Carlisle last season.
