Sharp and Irving invited to train with Notts County
Chris Sharp and John Irving have been given the opportunity to try and impress Notts County manager Ian McParland.
The pair will train with the Magpies next week in an effort to earn permanent contracts.
McParland has heard good reports about ex-Bangor City striker Sharp and Everton's former right-back Irving and is now looking forward to having a closer inspection.
Sharp, 23, scored 27 goals in all competitions in the Welsh Premier League last season, and whilst the 19-year-old Irving failed to make an appearance for the Toffees, he did captain their reserves and was voted their Player of the Year in 2007.
"Both players will join us for training next week, so it will be a good opportunity for us to have a look at them up close," McParland told the club's
official website.
"I've watched a DVD of Chris' goals and from what I've seen he looks to be a natural goalscorer so we'll have a good look at him, and John comes with a good reputation from Everton."
