Sky Sports' survey to discover the greatest player in the history of Charlton Athletic is reaching a conclusion - and we would like you to get involved. We are asking fans of each of the 92 English League teams and 12 Scottish Premier League sides to nominate their all-time favourite footballers. Short-lists have now been compiled from those selections for each club and you can cast your votes for your all-time great. Charlton may have endured a season to forget in 2008/09 but they possess a traditional past, and legendary goalkeeper Sam Bartram could be considered the player who best epitomises that heritage. The man from South Shields became a hero in South East London after 22 years with the Addicks, winning the 1947 FA Cup and racking up a record appearance tally in the process. Is Derek 'Killer' Hales the hero of The Valley after carving a reputation as a superb striker during his time with the club through the Seventies and Eighties? South Africa-born Eddie Firmani may also be held in high regard following three separate stints. Is Clive Mendonca's memorable hat-trick in the 1998 play-off final the greatest act? Should Richard Rufus be hailed for his defensive performances or is ex-captain Mark Kinsella the leading light? Matt Holland is also a popular figure, but Chris Powell is often commended for his behaviour both on and off the field. To make your selection please complete the attached poll and we will collate the results. After all votes are cast we will reveal the winners ahead of the 2009/10 season and crown Charlton Athletic's greatest player!
