Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink has insisted he does not want to go back to Holland this summer.

Striker not seeking Dutch move

Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink has insisted he does not want to go back to Holland at this stage of his career. The 30-year-old striker is looking for a new club after his contract with Celtic came to an end last week. He enjoyed three successful seasons with the Glasgow giants and is understood to now have several options, including Bristol City. PSV Eindhoven also revealed last week that they might consider a move to bring Vennegoor of Hesselink back to the club he left in 2006. However, he maintains that he does not want to return to his homeland during this summer's transfer window. "I want to continue my career outside Holland," Vennegoor of Hesselink told the Daily Record.
