Stockport County

Sky Sports is launching a survey to find out the best player ever to wear a Stockport shirt - and we would like you to get involved.
We are asking fans of each of the 92 English League teams and 12 Scottish Premier League sides to nominate their all-time favourite footballers.
The short-list has been reduced to just eight and now you can cast your votes once more to crown the club's best ever player.
Perhaps you can remember the goal machine that was Jack Connor who bagged a remarkable 140 goals in 217 games between 1951 and 1955 including a club record 17 hat-tricks.
County fans didn't have to wait long for another forward to worship when Jim Fryatt arrived for £7,500 from Torquay in 1967. Fryatt became renowned for his bullet headers and his partnership with Bill Atkins will live long in the memory for many Hatters fans lucky enough to see them play.
Another striker to hit the headlines at County and win the hearts of the supporters was Len White. Many thought the forward was winding down his career when he arrived in 1965 from Huddersfield for £4000 aged 34. However 24 goals in 53 appearances proved the doubters wrong.
The heady days under the tutelage of Dave Jones in the 1990s were not too long ago. Perhaps you want to nominate the striking exploits of Alun Armstrong from that period.
Or maybe you'll opt for the defensive rock that was Mike Flynn. The inspirational skipper played 460 times for the Hatters between 1993 and 2002. Signed from Preston for £150,000 Stockport were rejecting bids of up to £900,000 for him just six years later.
Recently departed manager Jim Gannon may get your vote for his consistent performances at the heart of the midfield or will you choose the silky Kevin Cooper who dazzled on the wing in the late 1990s.
Striker Kevin Francis became a cult figure at Edgeley Park and with a return of 117 goals in just under four years from 1991 to 1995 you can understand why. But is that enough to receive your nomination?
To make your selection please complete the form below and tell us why you are putting your chosen nominee forward.
Once we have received all your nominations, we will narrow down the selections for each side to the 10 leading candidates. You can then vote for your personal favourite.
After all votes are cast we will reveal the winners ahead of the 2009/10 season and crown the Stockport County's greatest-ever player!
