Uncertain future for goalkeeper

Falkirk goalkeeper Dani Mallo has admitted that he is still unsure where he will be plying his trade this season. Mallo joined Falkirk on a short-term contract in January and caught the eye with a series of accomplished performances. He announced at the end of last month that he had decided on his future and would be making a statement in early July. But an announcement did not come and the 30-year-old concedes he is still agonising over what to do.

Favourites

Mallo has been linked with a move to Hibernian, where he would be reunited with former Falkirk boss John Hughes. An English club is also understood to be interested and fresh reports suggest Spanish Segunda Division outfit Castellon have entered the chase. It is thought that Castellon are favourites to secure his signature, although Mallo has given no indication of which way he is leaning. "I still have not decided on my future because I am also studying another chance with a foreign club," he said. "Falkirk have given me the chance to increase my level this year and the decision is not easy for me."
