Hartlepool have completed the signing of Norwegian midfielder Jon-Andre Fredriksen.
The 27-year-old arrives at Victoria Park from Sarpsborg and is now set to join his new team-mates on a pre-season trip to Holland.
Pools director of sport Chris Turner believes the Scandinavian ace will prove to be a good addition to his squad ahead of the 2009/10 campaign, with his versatility expected to be a useful asset.
"Jon-Andre is a very adaptable player who can operate in several positions. He can play in the centre of midfield or on the left, or even up front," Turner told the club's
official website.
"I'm bringing him to the club predominantly as competition for the wide left area and I think he can offer us a good option.
"He will start the game on Wednesday against SC Cambuur so he can quickly get used to the way we play and fit in with the lads.
"He's obviously been playing regularly for a couple of months already so his fitness will be good and I know that his is a high-energy game."
