Hamilton midfielder James McArthur insists he is in no rush to follow Brian Easton to England.

Midfielder expected former team-mate Easton to move on

Hamilton Academical midfielder James McArthur insists he is in no rush to follow Brian Easton to the English Premier League. Easton has completed a £350,000 move to top-flight new boys Burnley after the Scotland Under 21 international impressed in recent seasons. McArthur - and fellow starlet James McCarthy - have also been linked with moves to England, with the Clarets reported to have shown interest in the duo. However, while McArthur was expecting Easton to leave the Accies, he is not planning on joining the full-back in English football just yet.

Got ambitions

He said: "Brian is away and it's a great move for him. "But until any firm bids come in for me then it's just speculation about my future. I'm a Hamilton player and I am happy to be here. "I am very happy for Brian. "If I'm being honest I expected him to go, as there were so many clubs in for him. "He will be playing in the English Premier League against top, top players and that's a great move for him. "I've got ambitions, I want to play at the top level, but I'm at Hamilton and another year in the top flight in Scotland will not do me any harm."
