Trialists Woolfe and Gomez aim to impress Rochdale boss
Rochdale boss Keith Hill will give trialists Dali Gomez and Nathan Woolfe plenty of time to impress in the upcoming friendlies against Everton and Manchester United.
Striker Woolfe, who had a loan spell at Wrexham last season, is without a club after being released by Bolton Wanderers at the end of last term.
Hill is currently planning for the new League Two campaign and will take a closer look at Woolfe and Gomez before deciding whether they could aid his side's cause.
"With regards to Gomez, I had a call from an agent asking if we'd take a look at four French players," Hill told the
Rochdale Observer.
"I declined the opportunity to take all four at once - with no disrespect to trialists from the continent, I am a little wary sometimes.
"But I did fancy a left-footed striker and Gomez has done enough during his time with us so far to warrant an extended stay. He will play a part in the game against Everton.
"The same goes for Nathan Woolfe. He's done well and we'll assess him further over the next two games."
