Fabiano's agent questions offer

Luis Fabiano's agent has confirmed AC Milan's offer falls well short of the striker's release clause.

Fuentes confirms striker bid falls well short

Luis Fabiano's agent has confirmed AC Milan's offer falls well short of the Sevilla striker's release clause. Milan are keen to bolster their attacking line following Kaka's exit and new head coach Leonardo is a huge fan of his fellow Brazilian. However, Fabiano's agent says that unless the Rossoneri increase their offer there is no chance of the parties agreeing terms. Fabiano has a €30million (£26m) release clause in his contract, a figure more than double what Milan are currently prepared to spend.

Not enough

"Milan made a €14million (£12m) offer, a figure that was not enough to acquire the striker," said Jose Fuentes. "This figure undervalues the player and hence it cannot be accepted. Sevilla have every reason for not wanting to accept this offer. "We now await to see if Milan will make a second offer for Luis Fabiano. "But if Milan do not increase their bid it's clear that the Rossoneri are not interested in Fabiano."
