Preston understood to be in talks with midfielder

Cardiff City have accepted an offer from an unnamed Championship club for midfielder Paul Parry. The 28-year-old, who retired from Wales international duty last year, appears to be on his way out of Cardiff as manager Dave Jones looks to make room for new signings. Parry has made over 210 appearances for the Bluebirds since joining from Hereford United in January 2004 and has proved to be a versatile performer for the club. However, Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale has confirmed Parry has been given permission to speak to another club after a fee in the region of £300,000 was accepted. "We have agreed a fee for Paul Parry with another club," said Ridsdale on Wales Online. "The club involved have been given permission for talks with the player." Preston North End are reported to be the club to be in discussions with Parry, while Doncaster Rovers have also been linked with an interest.
