Adams considers possible loan deal

Port Vale have handed Colchester striker Jamie Guy a trial with a view to a possible loan move. The 21-year-old is taking part in pre-season training with League Two outfit Vale as he attempts to impress manager Micky Adams. Guy joined League One side Colchester as a trainee in 2005 and has previously taken in loan spells with Ebbsfleet, Cambridge and Oxford. The forward also spent the last two months of the 2008/09 season on loan at Dagenham & Redbridge and scored in a 1-0 win at Vale Park in March. Adams is said to be keen to secure Guy as he looks for attacking reinforcements ahead of Vale's first game of the campaign against Rochdale on 8th August.
