Ezequiel Lavezzi insists he has no desire to secure a summer move away from Napoli.
The Argentina international had been widely tipped to be on his way out of the Serie A outfit following a dispute over a wage increase.
However, no such switch has been forthcoming and the talented forward remains in Naples.
He claims to have no problem with staying at Stadio San Paolo and is confident he will begin the 2009/10 campaign in familiar surroundings.
"I feel good at Napoli and I want to continue playing there," Lavezzi told
Radio Del Plata.
"I feel good about my relationship with my team-mates and with the club's technical staff.
"My intention is to stay here for now and then we will see. It's not only up to me what happens."
Lavezzi has also distanced himself from reports that he could be set for an imminent move to Boca Juniors.
"It would be really complicated to make a return to Argentina," he added.
"At the moment I am not thinking about money or a new contract, I am just thinking about doing good things for the team and playing well."
New arrival
Meanwhile, Napoli have confirmed the signing of Austrian striker Erwin Hoffer from Rapid Vienna.
The 22-year-old is set to pen a five-year contract upon his arrival and has cost around €7million euros (£6m).
"I'm delighted to have agreed a deal," Hoffer told
La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I thank Rapid for making this possible. For me this is a big challenge that I don't want to fail.
"Italian football is a dream for many Austrian players, and now I am realising that dream."
