Striker would not consider move to Milan

David Trezeguet has vowed to stay at Juventus this season and admits moving to AC Milan would be an act of 'betrayal'. French striker Trezeguet's future with Juventus has been uncertain through the summer and he was linked with a possible switch to Serie A rivals Milan. Juventus had suggested they would be prepared to sell Trezeguet, but only to a club outside of Italy, prompting further doubts over his future in Turin. However, following talks with club officials, the former Monaco ace has stated his intention to spend the upcoming season with Juve. "I'll stay at Juventus 100 per cent for the whole season," Trezeguet told the Italian media. "After 10 years in Turin, it didn't seem right to be leaving now. "For this decision, there has been the support of all those who have been close to me in this period - the club officials, the coach, the team-mates and the supporters." Trezeguet also revealed that, while flattered by interest from Milan, he could not envisage leaving Juventus for the San Siro. He added: "Sure, at this particular moment the respect of Milan was important. "The words of Leonardo and Galliani have given me enormous pleasure, but I am a very important person in the history of Juventus and to go to Milan would have felt like a betrayal towards the club and towards my team-mates."
