Midfielder rejoins first club after three years at Juve

Fiorentina have brought experienced midfielder Cristiano Zanetti back to the club after agreeing a deal with Juventus. Zanetti started his career with Fiorentina before leaving in 1996, and he took in spells at the likes of Inter Milan and Roma. He joined Juve three years ago, but has now clinched a return to his first club after falling down the pecking order in Turin. The 32-year-old has signed a two-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months, and his agent Carlo Pallavicino insists Zanetti is over his past injury troubles. "Fiorentina have got him," said Pallavicino on violanews. "The two clubs have an agreement, so does the player. "I can say this is a good signing for the Tuscans, seeing as I am certain Cristiano is 100 per cent fit and can give a big hand to the Viola." Earlier in the summer, Felipe Melo made the move in the opposite direction as the Brazilian opted to join Juve after being linked with Arsenal.
