Barca striker to miss midweek qualifier
Thierry Henry will play no part in France's 2010 World Cup qualifier against the Faroe Islands.
Raymond Domenech's side are due to be in action on Wednesday, but they will be without their talismanic striker.
Henry has been forced to withdraw from the squad after picking up a slight knock.
His club, Barcelona, claim the 31-year-old suffered an Achilles injury during their recent pre-season tour of the United States.
Domenech is not expected to call up a replacement for the stricken Henry and will enter the midweek contest a man light.
Form suggests France should be able to cope without Henry, though, as the Faroe Islands currently prop up Group Seven.
In contrast, the France sit second, eight points behind leaders Serbia with two games in hand.
