Toulouse have announced that Andre-Pierre Gignac has signed a one-year contract extension.
The striker was a target of Lyon this summer after top scoring in Ligue 1 last season, but he is now tied to the Municipal Stadium until 2013.
Toulouse believe that securing Gignac's future gives an indication of the club's aspirations.
"Andre-Pierre Gignac has just extended his contract with Toulouse until
2013," the club said in a statement on their
official website.
"It is a strong sign which indicates the desire of the club to keep its best individuals as well as that of the player to show how attached he is to Les Violets."
