Town midfielder damages knee ligaments
David Norris is facing up to four months on the sidelines after damaging his cruciate ligament.
The Ipswich midfielder limped out of Town's 2-1 defeat at Coventry last weekend after 55 minutes.
He has since been sent to a specialist to determine the full extent of the injury.
The news is not good, with Ipswich boss Roy Keane revealing that Norris will be out of action for the foreseeable future.
"It's a big loss for us and it's a big blow for the lad himself," he told the club's
official website.
"He's been outstanding for us since he's been here, he's got great energy and is probably the fittest player at the club.
"I said last week that we are unlikely to bring in anyone else but with David out now, we might have to rethink that."
