Keeper set to make debut against Crewe

Grimsby Town have snapped up Southampton goalkeeper Tommy Forecast on a one-month loan deal. The League Two club had been searching for goalkeeping cover after Nick Colgan suffered an injury against Tranmere Rovers in the Carling Cup in midweek. Forecast, who has yet to make his debut for Southampton since joining from Tottenham last summer, has been brought in by the Mariners to plug the gap. The young shot-stopper is set to start against Crewe on Saturday and Grimsby boss Mike Newell is happy to have solved a conundrum. "Nick's got a problem with his groin and it's a blow because we haven't got numbers to choose from in that position," Newell told the Grimsby Evening Telegraph. "Leigh (Overton) has done okay in pre-season, but we don't feel he's got enough experience to go into a game like this just yet. "So we're glad to bring someone in on loan."
