Defender impresses Todd during trial spell
Former Macclesfield defender Rikki Bains has completed a move to Darlington following a successful trial.
The 21-year-old started his career as a youngster with Coventry before being released in 2006.
He has spent time with Accrington, Tamworth, Corby Town and Macclesfield in recent seasons.
Quakers boss Colin Todd has now snapped up Bains and hopes he will provide more competition for places at the back.
"He's quick and he's strong, and is young enough to improve and become an asset to the squad," said Todd.
"Matt Plummer is pushing for a place in the heart of the defence and now we have Rikki who can do the same.
"Ian Miller and Steve Foster have started the season well, but it always helps to have players pushing those in the first team."
