Brazilian starlet keen to peg back Hearts

Dinamo Zagreb's Brazilian winger Sammir is looking to take an advantage to Edinburgh when they take on Hearts in the Europa League on Thursday. The pair meet at the Maksimir Stadium for the first leg of their play-off qualifier with a place in the group stage of the competition up for grabs. The 22-year-old says the Croatian side are out for blood in the first leg in order to ensure Hearts have a job on their hands to progress back in Scotland. Dinamo Zagreb were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League qualifiers by Salzburg and Sammir says another two-legged disaster is virtually impossible. "We're preparing for this as if it were a Champions League match," he told skysports.com. "The media tells us the Scottish side is weaker than us, but this can be very dangerous.

Defence

"Our fear is the system used by Hearts. The Scottish club employs a defensive scheme which forces us to set the tone and play to our rhythm. We must concentrate defensively as well. "Our objective is to travel to Scotland with a positive result and having kept them scoreless. In Europe that's imperative stopping the away goal. "The biggest policy in Zagreb will be to attack. It will be necessary to create goalscoring chances and to profit from these situations. "I do not fear the physical nature of the Scottish game. I've come from the Paulista League in Brazil and in this league it is more physical than in Scotland. "After being knocked out by Salzburg another disaster against Heart is impossible. We desire to all but eliminate them in Zagreb."
