Bridcutt suspended for Hatters, Murty missing for Saints
Stockport and Southampton clash at Edgeley Park on Saturday with both teams chasing the win at the wrong end of the table.
The rock-bottom Saints are yet to win in League One this term, while the Hatters have lost both their games at home.
But at least Gary Ablett's side won at Brighton last weekend to rise to 15th in the table.
Hatters news
Chelsea loanee Liam Bridcutt is suspended for the Hatters after being sent off on his debut.
Hatters boss Ablett had to receive special dispensation for Bridcutt to feature against Brighton after having the maximum registered amount of players on his books but the youngster was shown a red card with seven minutes left of the 4-2 win.
Ablett has no fresh injury concerns and will only be without midfielder Matty Mainwaring who is out for six months with a broken leg.
Saints news
Southampton will be without Graeme Murty when they travel to Stockport in search of their first league win of the season.
The veteran full-back suffered suspected knee ligament damage during Tuesday night's Carling Cup defeat by Birmingham and faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Youngster Lloyd James, who played in midfield against City, will step in at right-back.
Recent signings Dean Hammond and Neal Trotman were cup-tied in midweek and should come straight back in at Edgeley Park.
Wingers Joseph Mills (hamstring) and Lee Holmes (groin) are closing in on returns, although this game may come too soon.
Striker Grzegorz Rasiak joined Reading on Thursday.
