Jackson admits he needs a positive result

Kevin Gall is set to start Darlington's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with an unchanged Lincoln. The striker grabbed the Quakers' second goal of the season after coming on at half-time in the 1-1 draw with Cheltenham on Saturday and is likely to be rewarded with a starting spot. Defender Steve Foster is set to retain his place after being recalled at the weekend ahead of Matt Plummer, who dropped to the bench. Plummer did come on at the start of the second half in place of Rikki Bains and could be in line for a recall himself. Darlington will be keen to secure a first win of the season against the Imps having picked up their first point with the draw against the Robins.

Lincoln team news

Under-fire Lincoln boss Peter Jackson will choose from an unchanged squad for his side's trip. Jackson, who faced calls from Imps fans to quit following Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Dagenham, admitted after the game at Victoria Road that he was under pressure to get results. He may make changes following City's fourth loss in five games in all competitions. Midfielders Stefan Oakes and Scott Kerr returned from respective foot and back injuries to start at Dagenham but will probably be rested, with the league meeting against Darlington at Sincil Bank at the weekend taking precedence for Jackson. Shane Clarke could fill one of those midfield berths while forwards Chris Fagan, Lenell John-Lewis and Andrew Hutchinson could also come into the reckoning.
