Skysports.com understands Doncaster Rovers are in talks to sign Slovakian striker Pavol Jurco on loan from MFK Kosice.
Doncaster boss Sean O'Driscoll is in the market for attacking reinforcements as he looks to improve his squad before the transfer window closes.
Celtic's Chris Killen and Ipswich's Jon Stead are targets for O'Driscoll, who has also lined up a move for Jurco.
The 22-year-old can offer a physical presence up front and played for Shamrock Rovers in pre-season games against Newcastle United and Real Madrid.
He impressed in those matches and Jurco is now hoping to conclude a loan switch to Championship side Doncaster before the 5pm deadline.
