Dagenham & Redbridge boss John Still is expecting to finalise the signing of former Millwall midfielder Will Hendry.
The 22-year-old is currently a free agent after leaving Hayes & Yeading last month after failing to agree a new deal with the Blue Square South side.
Hendry, who made three appearances for Millwall in 2006, is now set to link up with Dagenham once he has passed a medical.
Still told the
Barking and Dagenham Post: "I've known about Will for a long time as I saw him when he was at Millwall.
"He is a very good player, but has had a hernia recently, so we are going through the medical checks at the moment.
"He is unattached, so it isn't affected by the transfer window, and I expect it to be completed soon."
